a zucchini the size of my thumb grew into this:
And the carrots grew from pencil-sized to respectable, delectable orange goodness.
We feel blessed with beginner’s luck, which is good, because we will need the momentum from this summer’s successes to carry us through next summer’s garden at 8,500 ft., atop a solid layer of granite, amidst an abundance of hungry elk. Conditions which may be great for these beauties……but may make veggie growing a different kind of adventure.
